Flower Offering
Rose, jasmine, cananga odorata, and michelia campaca are tipical
flowers of Central Java which can not be separated from the people's
daily life. The mixture of these flowers known as 'kembang telon' is
usually used as part of an offering in any ritual done by the
Javanese.
People have honored these flowers ever since the Hindu and Buddhist
religions entered Indonesia. Therefore, it is not surprising that
allmost all ethnic groups in this country use such flowers as one of
the complimentary elements of their traditional activities.
